Creating Industrial Sustainable Development in the Global Market by CSR Strategy

The trend of globalization and the emergence of sustainable development have led to the changes of the global business environment which is denoted 3 C’s (customers, competition, and credibility). The changing environment generally result in an adjustment of strategy both for industry and enterprise in pursuing sustainable development. The purpose of this paper is to explore the strategy for holding the competitive advantage in the changing business environment. To address this issue, firstly, this paper analyzes the changing global business environment. Then, the specific situation of China textile & apparel industry is examined, this paper concludes that low-cost labor resource will remain as the core competency of the industry. However, new industrial strategy should be implemented to eliminate the negative factors with it. Lastly, this paper introduces and reviews the existing CSR strategy implemented by China National Textile & Apparel Council.
